Fight your way out in this new installment

Tekken 8 is a premium fighting game developed and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment. This is the eighth installment in the entire Tekken franchise. The action series resumes with the game's core conflict and will assist to reshape the franchise. It closely follows the Mishima lineage, which has played a key role in battles over the past three decades.

The previous Tekken games have been superseded by Tekken 8, which is a bigger and more impressive sequel. This episode is more than just a cinematic and exquisite adventure; it also marks a significant turning point in the narrative of the series.

Buffed and redesigned

In Tekken 8, each of the playable characters you choose has its own unique and interesting backstory that players can learn about. Even though many of their courses are identified by the Mishima name, the game has finally moved on from its repetitive father-son story, despite the fact that many of their courses near the Mishima moniker all throughout the franchise.

The game's new aggressive gameplay is a major update to the franchise. Tekken's signature fighting game style remains intact, and its visceral, screen-jarring strikes and dynamic, destructible surroundings make for a thrilling experience to date, for both players and spectators. A brand new feature dubbed the Heat System causes your character to launch into ferocious fights, complete with unique skills and power ups.

The graphics in this installment is a significant step up from those in the previous games in the series. After undergoing extensive revisions, every character now appears to be more robust and grounded in reality. In comparison to past games in the series, the characters are more detailed and have a bigger appearance; yet, this can be too distracting for some players.

What else to expect

Tekken 8 empowers players to engage with the gripping story mode, The Dark Awakens, as well as delve into the new single-player mode Arcade Quest. Fans of the Versus Mode are in for a treat as well — as familiar names such as Jin, Kazuya, Paul, and Nina are available to play among the 32 characters in the new installment’s roster.

Meanwhile, the available stages for the Versus Mode include Urban Square, Yakushima, and Sanctum. Each of these stages were designed with great detail to ensure an immersive experience for every round. Fans of the fighting series will also be delighted to know that the eight installment brought back the Mishima Dojo, or the Secluded Training Ground, which has been upgraded with dimly lit lamps and fearsome statues.

Another awesome feature of this installment is its cross-platform support, meaning you can play against your friends no matter the device you use as long as you have an internet connection. Fans can also expect a more fast-paced and hard-hitting gameplay with the introduction of a handful of new mechanics and the reintroduction of fan favorites. A significant portion of this improvement was inspired by the competitive side of Tekken 7.

Better than ever

Despite the fact that some players may find the game's character redesigns to be overly startling, Tekken 8 is an exciting addition to the franchise as a whole and is a must-have for fans of the series. People who have enjoyed earlier entries in the Tekken series and have a preference for the gameplay and narrative will also enjoy this installment.
